I consider myself a music producer and a musician with great interest in all kinds of music. However, when I was in my late twenties and living in Spain, I found African-based music to be an important part of my own musical identity. For this reason, I have dedicated myself to produce and promote genres like afroperuvian music, reggae, and jazz in both my personal productions and in my work with other artists as a record producer.

When I begin a new composition I try to explore different rhythmic and harmonic patterns from afro-based genres and also to look within my own emotional state. In most of my personal work I stay within the instrumental arena and express myself through beats, harmonies and melodies. The selection of the sounds I work with are a mix of acoustic, electric, and digital instruments, and I try to follow my intuition to find balance between them. On the other hand, at some point of the production and composition process I listen to reference tracks to touch the ground a bit. Usually, these references are the music that I am listening to at the moment, with the aim to make original music within the industry standards.

Lately, with my work I try to be much closer to the commercial genres, like Reggaeton, Urban, and EDM. In this new phase, I aim to combine afro-based rhythms with more modern sounds like digital synthesizers and drum machines to create a dynamic and fresh music that could be used as background for latin music singers and rappers. A new challenge for me in this project is the creation of lyrics for these songs.
